Research that gives strength
to breeding

A key role for ruminant nutrition.

Nutristar's Research and Development department conducts experimental studies on ruminant diets, providing scientific support for the formulation of new products and new nutritional and management approaches.

A comprehensive look
at ruminant nutrition.

Ruminants have a complex digestive system, in which numerous variables come into play: the rumen and its microorganisms, digestive physiology, intestinal microbiota and many other factors that must be taken into account when formulating a product.

Ricerca

Nutristar's scientific commitment.

Nutristar has been collaborating for years with universities and research institutions to conduct experimental studies that explore the connection between nutrition and the economic, environmental, and social sustainability of livestock farming.

Nutrition, efficiency and productivity.

The analyses carried out by Vaccademia Nutristar on feces, cheesemaking, and digestive efficiency aim to create a model for estimating expected production that maximizes diet efficiency.

Even milk speaks to us.

The milk analyses conducted at the Rumilab laboratory are extremely useful for monitoring the health of cows. By improving our knowledge of milk biomarkers, these studies enable rapid and non-invasive identification of at-risk animals.

Diets with less impact on the environment.

Nutristar has decided to contribute to the reduction of methane emissions associated with rumen fermentation by investing in a research project based on in vitro and in vivo studies to test products and diets that reduce gas production without impacting productivity and milk quality.
